ABOUT
William (Bill) Wolfe obtained a B.A. in political science from the University of British
Columbia in 1985 and his LL. B from the University of Ottawa in 1988. Following his call
to the bar in 1990, Bill worked at Fireman Regan defending insurers throughout Ontario.
He tried jury and non-jury cases throughout the province involving personal injury, LTD
claims, Brokers Negligence, Fire Loss, Insurance Fraud, Maritime Insurance, Equine
Insurance cases, Life and AD&D claims, Product Liability and Accident Benefit claims.
In 2000, Bill left the insurance defense field and moved to Fireman Lofranco LLP where
his practice was solely restricted to representing plaintiffs in personal injury and
insurance disputes, eventually founding Wolfe Lawyers in 2010.
Aside from the numerous jury and non-jury trials, and appeals Bill has appeared on, he has
represented plaintiffs and insurers in over 1,000 mediations. In 2014 Bill completed an
intensive program in mediation at the Centre for Dispute Resolution, in Washington D.C.
Throughout the years Bill has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice
(and is old enough to remember the District and Supreme Courts of Ontario), the
Ontario Court of Appeal, FSCO, WSIAT, CPP Review Tribunal, Coroners Inquests and
the Federal Court of Canada.
